Teechers by John Godber

This comedy, written in 1984 by John Godber, puts the education system under a microscope and examines the themes and issues that are still relevant today.

Gail, Hobby and Salty, three school leavers, perform an account of their time in High School through their end of term play.  They tell the hilarious story of an idealistic new teacher, in his perilous first days at the school, who ignites their passion for the stage with his idealism and belief that all children should be teated equally.  The three cast members effortlessly transform into a vast array of other characters - including teachers, dinner ladies, students, an obstructive caretaker and the school bully - in this contemporary classic.
