A Day Trip to Robin Hood's Bay

Location: Robin Hood's Bay
Date: 08/09/13 @ 9:00 am

Travel by coach to Robin Hood's Bay for a superb coastal walk or simply relax and enjoy the many attractions of this picturesque village.

Why the name Robin Hood's Bay?  This is the question which remains unanswered but the beauty of its setting; the cottages and alleyways make the village very special.  The rugged coastline of the bay is impressive and on either side of the main street white-washed cottages stand higgledy-piggledy along narrow alleyways which are a relic of a former age when fishing and smuggling were part of everyday life.

Our walk follows field paths northwards out of the village before tuning towards the cliff tops and walking back into the village along part of the Cleveland Way.
