Country Walk - Burnsall and the Hidden Village

Our 6 mile walk today is the perfect walk in Wharfedale - easy on the legs and with plenty of interest along the way. Burnsall is one of the most popular villages in the Dales, picturesque and perfectly sited on a bend of the River Wharfe. The village is linked to the Dick Whittington of the Dales, Sir William Craven, who went off to seek his fortune and became Lord Mayor of London. There is a large public pay and display car park. Walk starts 11am from the Red Lion pub. Don't forget walking boots or shoes, waterproofs and a drink and sandwich. £5.00
